Dhanurmas Starts from Monday 16th December 2024 and Ends on Tuesday 14th January 2025.
During this short period, Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj learnt the scriptures from his father Dharmadev. He studied the Samved and then the Purans and Mahabharat; setting aside his favourite passages, which he later cited in the Shikshapatri.
The month is propitious for learning, and it is no coincidence that Lord Krishna went to Sandipani Rushi’s ashram to learn the scriptures at this time.
During Dhanurmas, the Sun is in Dhan (Sagittarius) constellation. It transits into Dhanur Rasi until it enters the Makar Rashi (Capricon) during the end of this month on the Makar Sankranti day.
Dhanurmas is a month for learning and worshiping God with selfless devotion.
